We just put the last steer of 2022 in the freezer! We have 3 quarters available. His hanging weight was $612 with a processing fee of $507.... So $4 per pound 612+ 1/4 of the 507 is 126...total $738 per quarter. (Because it is short notice, I can make payment arrangements for this fellow to all previous customers.)
We will not have anything else available until Spring 2023. Please let me know if you'd like me to reserve a quarter for you. You can text me at 254.290.0778. I will try to make updates here so we can see how the year looks.

We do not have dates or cattle for fall 2023...but hope to by this fall.
Please remember things have changed in small beef processing. Where we used to see a steer, decide it was ready, schedule a date for the next month or two resulting in a more consistent weight....now we have to schedule at least a year out... usually before we even own the steer.
We are trying to keep cost at $4 per pound plus a share of the processing fee.
Gas is $4.59 in Texas. We are praying for rain. Very thankful for 12 bale's of hay produced on Daddy's little farm this month.
We pray for provisions. For our friends to prosper. For each of our pantries....and freezers to be full.
